Depp tops the best autographer list; Diaz is the worst

LOS ANGELES - Johnny Depp is the star all right. A new list released by the Autograph Collector magazine on Friday says that the star of the "Pirates of the Caribbean " is the number one autograph obliger. Depp was rated the best last year as well so he has kept his ratings up. lt;br / gt;

George Clooney followed Depp on the "write stuff " stakes while Cameron Diaz was rated the worst autograph signer there ever was! This was the magazine 's 14th yearly survey of the best and the work autograph signers in Hollywood. lt;br / gt;

"Many stars become bad signers once fame and fortune hits, but not Depp. He 's even signed autographs for crowds at the airport while carrying luggage, " said Steve Cyrkin, editor and publisher of the magazine. He was even more enthusiastic on Clooney, "He 'll joke as he signs, and make fun of how he looks in photos he 's handed to autograph, " he said. lt;br / gt;

Cyrkin added that Russell Crowe was in line to be crowned the worst, but his recent behavior with fans has been impeccable. "Cameron Diaz may be a talented actress, but she 's persistently a terrible signer. Instead of just turning down a person 's autograph request, she 'll lecture them about how dumb autographs are, " Cyrkin added. lt;br / gt;

The list, which is to appear in the magazine 's June issue, was based on the information collected from a professional autograph collector as well as a journalist. "They 're the guys who want to get five or 10 or 12 of everything but they do see people. " Cyrkin said. "It 's looking at the spirit of the way they sign. It 's how they treat their fans.
