Garry Kasparov sentenced in Russia

MOSCOW, Nov. 25 (UPI) Former world chess champion Garry Kasparov was sentenced to five days in prison for attending an anti-Kremlin rally in Moscow. lt;br gt; lt;br / gt;
Kasparov, a critic of President Vladimir Putin, was one about 60 protesters arrested Saturday by riot police as several thousand people rallied in central Moscow, reported EuroNews.net. lt;br gt; lt;br / gt;
At his sentencing, Kasparov told journalists the testimony against him was "all lies. " lt;br gt; lt;br / gt;
Kasparov is a leader of Other Russia, an opposition group accusing Putin of destroying personal liberties and the freedom of the press, EuroNews.net reported Sunday. lt;br gt; lt;br / gt;
