Four Seasons Hawaiian Resort to Plant 500,000 Native Trees

The only five star resort located on Hawaii Island is to partner with another agency to plant a large number of native trees.

They are to be planted in the Hawaiian Island forest, which remains a very important part of the state today.

The Four Seasons Resort launched this initiative as a small part of its larger goal to plant 10 million trees in different locations around the world.

"This important initiative shows our continued commitment to doing the right thing," said Robert Whitfield, the general manager of the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai.

"Our partnership will allow our employees, our guests and clients to be a part of this effort in bettering our environment and Island in particular, whether by planting one tree, or a forest of trees."

Over the past few decades the native forest has seen much destruction and unnatural heartache and these trees are expected to help the area recover significantly.

The new plantings will be as natural as possible and allowed to continue to grow freely in the forest without interruption.

The placement of the trees will be close to the forest of King Kamehameha I, which is a very special historic location and a place of natural respect for all those who visit.

When visitors come to Hawaii Island and stay at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, they can expect to find an informational center with a wealth of information regarding what the trees are all about and what the company hopes to gain by planting them.

Guests can also sign up to participate in the program and can even help plant a tree for a nominal fee of just $40.00.

The tree will be planted and cared for, and the location of the tree will be available for viewing through GPS technology.

The many different agencies involved in this initiative are all dedicated to making Hawaii an even more beautiful place to live.

The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai on Hawaii Island, along with its sister desitnations around the world, are making a big impact on the earth by partnering with various agencies internationally to plant native trees.
