"Asian Post-Crisis Management: Corporate and Governmental Strategies for Sustainable Competitive Advantage" by Usha C.V. Haley and Frank Jurgen Richter.

This book, a collection of essays by top experts on Asian economies, examines key issues faced by managers of multinational companies, and identifies strategies and practices designed for managers and policy-makers following the Asian economic and financial crises. It shows how companies and governments in Asia can position themselves in order to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage.

The essays, written by the two co-authors as well as contributing writers, are divided into four main categories: post-crisis corporate strategies; post-crisis governmental strategies; organizational restructuring and corporate governance; and post-crisis business environments. Several countries, including China, Japan, Korea and Vietnam, are covered in the essays.

Usha C.V. Haley is Associate Professor of Management at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Frank-Jürgen Richter is the Director for Asia at the World Economic Forum.
