states of the EU. Starting this date 300 million European
citizens wills begin to use this single currency.
"Beyond the technical
challenge and unprecedented
monetary upheaval,
the introduction of
the actual notes and
coins constitutes a
strong sing of European
integration," said
Belgian Finance Minister,
Didier Reynders. He
added, "After
the lifting of boarders,
Europeans will hold
a tangible symbol of
their common destiny."

The Spanish Foreign
Minister, Josep Pique
said that the EU will
strive to combat terrorism,
and Spain during its
Presidency, will make
this their top priority.

intends to reinforce
the instruments of
law throughout the
EU and strengthen cooperation
between law enforcement
agencies of the member
states. The Presidency
also intends to work
on a common list of
terrorists and terrorist
organization for the
EU.
The Spanish Presidency
also intends to introduce
the Euro successfully
to the EU. In order
to do so they will
have to reinforce the
coordination of natural
economic policies and
the continued integration
of financial markets.
To celebrate the emergence
of the new single currency

organized in Brussels.
The ceremony will be
held in the Royal Palace
in Brussels and will
