SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - (Business Wire) Zurich North America Commercial today announced the appointment of Michael Karmilowicz as head of the Management Solutions group in Zurich’s Specialties business unit. “We are delighted that Mike will move into this key role with our Management Solutions group,” said Seraina Maag, president of Zurich’s Specialties unit. “He brings a depth of experience that will allow us to expand our relationships with producers and customers in this rapidly changing marketplace. Mike’s appointment reinforces our strategic expansion objectives and commitment to this market.”

Karmilowicz joined Zurich from Hartford Financial Products (HFP) in New York, where he managed several of the company’s dedicated underwriting units in management liability lines including Directors & Officers Liability, Fiduciary, Crime/Fidelity and Employment Practices Liability. Karmilowicz joined HFP in 2000, prior to which he held various management and underwriting positions with Reliance National.
