Verizon Wireless Activates New Cell Site in Wilmore WILMORE, Ky., May 22
WILMORE, Ky., May 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless has activated a new
cell site in Wilmore that expands network coverage, enabling more customers to
use their wireless phones concurrently to make calls; send and receive email
and text, picture and video messages; download music, games and ringtones;
view high-quality videos and browse the Internet, while enjoying clearer
reception and fewer dropped calls.
The new cell site improves Verizon Wireless' voice and data network
coverage in the following areas:
-- In Wilmore
-- On the campus of Asbury College
-- Along U.S. Route 68 from Wilmore into eastern Mercer County
-- Along State Road 29 from the north side of Wilmore to the
Jessamine/Mercer County line

every year -- to increase the coverage and capacity of its national network
and to add new services. More than $221 million of this investment was spent
