New teen wilderness camps offer unique adventures in America's pristine wilderness JACKSON, Wyo., Nov. 4

JACKSON, Wyo., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Wilderness Ventures, the oldest and most experienced adventure travel program for young people, recently announced their 2010 lineup of unique Leadership Adventures, International Adventures and Community Service Adventures for teenagers. These life-altering teen wilderness adventures, set in some of the world's most magnificent outdoor spaces, are crafted for young adults who are just beginning their experiences in the outdoors or teenagers who are accustomed to outdoor life.

Wilderness Ventures' enhanced program offerings for 2010 include the Pacific Northwest Explorer, specifically designed to share the magic of the Northwest with adventurous 6th graders, and the Northern Rockies Leadership Adventure, which, at 28 days, offers teenagers the most complete wilderness adventure of the Rocky Mountain region.

Pacific Northwest Explorer
This unique teen wilderness adventure, designed for students just completing the 6th grade, offers the perfect introduction to the great outdoors set in the magical Pacific Northwest. Highlights of this teen adventure include exploring the San Juan Islands, sea kayaking amongst seals and whales, hiking to the top of Mount Constitution, exploring the Puget Sound by ferry, embarking on an exhilarating whitewater rafting trip of the North Cascades, exploring Olympic National Park and Mount Rainier, learning team-building skills, and more. July 3rd-July 18th and July 21st-August 5th, 2010.

Northern Rockies Adventure
This adventure takes teens from the backcountry of Montana's Beartooth Mountains to the thrill of Idaho's famed Salmon River to explore the best of the Northern Rockies. Highlights of this wilderness adventure include exploring the Craters of the Moon, hiking Oregon's Eagle Cap Wilderness, rafting on Class III and IV rapids of the Middle Fork of the Salmon, backpacking across the Continental Divide, sea kayaking in Yellowstone, learning to rock climb in the Tetons, and much more.
