Wayne Tile to Donate $20,000 to Wayne Township Fire Department

On Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the Wayne Fire Department fire company Number 2 located on Myrtle Avenue (Alps Road and Route 23) in Wayne, Wayne Tile will present a check for $20,000. $15,000 is to go to Fire Company 2 and $5,000 to go to Packanack Lake Fire Company Number 5.

(PRWEB) November 8, 2009 -- On Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the Wayne Fire Department fire company Number 2 located on Myrtle Avenue (Alps Road and Route 23) in Wayne, Wayne Tile will present a check for $20,000. $15,000 is to go to Fire Company 2 and $5,000 to go to Packanack Lake Fire Company Number 5.

The check will be presented at 10 am in front of the Myrtle Avenue Firehouse.

Wayne Tile, a family owned company, recently had a fire in its Wayne Location. Wayne Tile decided to sell a large portion of its warehouse inventory at greatly reduced prices with a portion of proceeds to go to the Wayne Fire Department. Michael Westra a partner commented, “ This is a great opportunity to recognize the dedicated men and women of the Wayne Fire Department.” In an outpouring of support hundreds of people flocked to the tent sale, which took place October 8th through October 10th.

On Wednesday, October 28 Bob Westra, another partner of Wayne Tile, announced that Wayne Tile would be donating $20,000 to the Wayne Fire Department. Bob went further to say “It is with great pleasure that Wayne Tile will present a check in the amount of $20,000 to the brave men and women of the Wayne Fire Department. If not for their heroism, our flagship store would surely have been destroyed.”

Wayne Tile has 5 locations serving Tri State Area customers. Locations are in Wayne (store and design center), Ramsey (design center), Rockaway and Sussex.
