Statewide technology association offers additional health insurance options, launches Member2Member program

SEATTLE, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) (http://www.washingtontechnology.org), North America's largest statewide association of technology companies, IT departments and individual technology professionals, today announced that is has expanded its services to include affordable, easy individual health insurance options for members and non-members as well as a new Member2Member (M2M) program, an online marketplace where WTIA members can connect with other member companies to identify products, services and local customers.

"One of the WTIA's core missions is to offer a broad range of resources and services that help local technology companies grow and prosper in a very competitive market," said Ken Myer, president and CEO of the WTIA. "The Member2Member program will enable our more than 1,000 member companies to connect with each other and build their businesses, while individual healthcare coverage will provide individuals and local tech companies --- even those that aren't WTIA members --- with access to affordable healthcare."

Through individual health insurance options, the WTIA offers an easier way for individuals and companies to shop for, compare and choose the coverage that suits them best. The coverage, made available by Regence through the WTIA, offers many features, including preventive care coverage, varying premiums and deductibles, prescription drug coverage and a large provider network of doctors and hospitals. Additionally, WTIA offers consolidated billing options to enable companies with many contract workers to offer individual insurance while only receiving one consolidated bill. For more information about health insurance coverage options and to register for the new individual coverage, visit https://wtia.arrayhealth.com/.

Also announced today is the WTIA's M2M program. Through M2M, WTIA member companies can share their products and services with other member companies and, conversely, find local customers, purchase products and identify discounted services from other members. For more information about the M2M program, including pricing starting as low as $600 for a six-month listing, contact the WTIA at info@washingtontechnology.org or 206-448-3033 ext. 107.
