PHOENIX, Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Arizona developer VisionsWest LLC has announced plans to sell properties in two Phoenix communities through the online real estate auction system of RealtyBid.com, the nation's leader in online home auctions. Competitive bidding for homes in Terrace at Green Gables-Phase II and Devonshire Square, both located in Phoenix's Central Corridor, via RealtyBid.com will begin Wednesday, February 20th and end Saturday, March 1st.
According to VisionsWest Managing Member Bob Campbell, four new, attached Terrace at Green Gables loft homes will be auctioned through RealtyBid.com as a kick-off for the group's newest community. Each of these loft homes within this gated community features three or four bedrooms and a two-car garage. Originally priced from $349,600 to $366,800, these homes will be offered through RealtyBid.com with starting bids as low as $265,000.
VisionsWest will also offer ten newly constructed condominiums within the gated community of Devonshire Square. These closeout properties feature one or two bedrooms, one to two baths, and covered parking. Originally priced from $139,900 to $209,900, these Devonshire Square condos will be offered through RealtyBid.com with starting bids as low as $85,000.
RealtyBid.com CEO/President Tony Isbell said the decision of VisionsWest to join forces with RealtyBid.com comes as home builders across the country are re-evaluating their sales approaches to combat the slowing real estate market. "The desire of VisionsWest to utilize RealtyBid.com shows that its leaders are forward thinkers."
Campbell said he became aware of RealtyBid.com through Southwest Real Estate Auctioneers, a Phoenix-based regional marketing company whose leaders told him about RealtyBid.com's recent successful online auction of 16 homes for Lennar Homes in the Phoenix area. Campbell said it's "just good business" for VisionsWest to embrace innovative marketing strategies to combat the market's current downturn. "Just like any other seller, our goal is to sell homes, and it's our job to find the most efficient and effective way to do that. With the growing acceptance of technology, it only makes sense to explore marketing methods, such as RealtyBid.com, that capitalize on this trend."
Isbell added, "I believe there's still demand for homes, especially new homes, at reasonable prices, and RealtyBid.com is one very positive alternative for marketing properties that are priced right. We expect more builders to look to RealtyBid.com to focus attention on their standing inventory of new homes in 2008. And, with more than 460,000 unique visits to our site during January, we know that online real estate bidding on RealtyBid.com is being embraced by more and more real estate buyers and investors every day."
Founded in 2001, RealtyBid.com specializes in the expedited sale of real estate through its innovative online auction platform. The company has become one of the most vocal advocates for the use of Internet technology as a means of bringing real estate buyers and sellers together. RealtyBid.com's team has sold more than 12,000 properties.
