NEW YORK, NY -- 11/04/09 --
Vigilant LLC, a provider of on-site and
managed IT security services, today announced that Bill Edwards has joined
the company as chief information security officer (CISO). An experienced
security executive with more than two decades of experience running
security operations for leading technology and financial services
organizations, Edwards will direct security policy, design security
architecture and ensure compliance with industry standards.
In his role as CISO, Edwards will guide the development of Vigilant's
portfolio of security programs and planning services, which are designed to
create alignment between IT security functions and the larger business and
IT risk issues. Edwards will also play a critical role in strengthening
Vigilant's ties to the CISO community among large enterprises and ensuring
that the company's service offerings support the emerging needs of the
market.

Prior to joining Vigilant, Edwards spent 10 years as the chief security
officer (CSO) at TD Ameritrade, a leading online brokerage firm. Prior to
TD Ameritrade, Edwards held the position of vice president of security at
Datek Online, an online brokerage firm that was acquired by TD Ameritrade.
Edwards is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Edwards' appointment is part of an overall expansion of Vigilant's
management team, which also includes the appointment of Isaac Kohn as

and Beth Ruck as director of marketing and strategic alliances.
