VANCOUVER, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ - Caitlin Sarubbi is a 19-year-old from New York City who's a rising star in the world of adaptive skiing. Sarubbi has one of the rarest medical conditions on earth, one that's left her visually impaired, but that doesn't stop her from hurtling downhill at speeds of 100 kilometers an hour, using a sighted skier as a guide. It also didn't stop her and her family from enjoying a recent trip to Canada prior to returning to compete in 2010 Winter Paralympics.
Video package includes an interview with Sarubbi about her Olympic ambitions and her impressions of Whistler, footage of Sarubbi and her family enjoying a tour of historic Signal Hill overlooking St. John's, whale watching and other experiences including connecting with local firefighters as Sarubbi's father is a NYC firefighter who was part of the 9-11 rescue operation.
