ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 24 MI-Validatn-Complianc
ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Validation and Compliance Institute (VCI), which provides a full range of compliance services for FDA regulated industries, will offer a series of Dietary Supplement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) trainings for DBA Analytical (DBA), a division of NSF International.
The seminar series enables companies to understand the new GMP regulations for dietary supplements, which the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published in 2007. These regulations impact all manufacturers of dietary supplements who sell product in the United States.
The next seminar takes place during Supply Side West, November '09 in Las Vegas.
Compliance with the GMPs helps assure the product produced has the identity, strength, composition, quality and purity that it is represented to possess. Being audited to these requirements will help manufacturers continually improve their processes and bolster consumer confidence.
The new regulations were effective in June 2008 for large companies, but companies with less than 500 employees had until June 2009, and companies with fewer than 20 employees have until June 2010 to comply with the regulations.
"This training reinforces DBA's stature as a leading expert on dietary supplements," said Casey Coy, DBA's Project Manager. "We look forward to offering this unique training to those working within the dietary supplement industry."
