DALLAS - (Business Wire) Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has been named one of the top places to work in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in the “Best in DFW: Top Workplaces 2009” listing recently published by the Dallas Morning News. Tyler is highlighted in the publication among large, medium and small companies that excel at creating dynamic, supportive, and inclusive workplaces. Tyler’s corporate headquarters are located in Dallas, however the bulk of DFW-based employees are located at the company’s Courts & Justice Division in Plano. “We are honored to be considered one of Dallas’ top employers,” said Bruce Graham, president of Tyler’s Courts & Justice Division. “As a company, Tyler is exclusively focused on building software solutions for the public sector. Our Plano division empowers courts and justice professionals to better serve the needs of their citizens, and our employees are very passionate about the work they do to support the efforts of local government. In fact, many have worked in courts and justice roles previously in their careers. This experience brings a unique perspective to our company and our culture. “At Tyler, employees have an opportunity to truly impact the business – they’re not just another cog in the machine,” Graham continued. “As we employ professionals involved in every dimension of a software company, from development through implementation and support, our employees know we believe in building a long career path for them, and reward their contributions.” Paige Cole, human resources manager for Tyler’s Courts & Justice Division, added, “There’s no doubt that we’re cultivating a winning culture here. By encouraging out-of-the-box thinking, fostering collaboration, and embracing new perspectives and ideas, we are able to attract and retain talented individuals who are not only experts in their respective profession, they are passionate about our business.” Dallas-Fort Worth has the highest concentration of corporate headquarters of any major U.S. metropolitan area, according to the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce. DFW is also home to several Fortune 500 companies. The Dallas Morning News and partner Workplace Dynamics LLC took nominations from participating company employees, from the CEO on down. Public and private companies and for-profit and nonprofit organizations were qualified to enter. Participating companies had to have more than 50 employees based in the North Texas counties of Dallas, Tarrant, Denton, Collin, Kaufman, Rockwall, and Ellis. Companies were surveyed in June and July of this year. Based in Dallas, Tyler Technologies is a leading provider of end-to-end information management solutions and services for local governments. Tyler partners with clients to enable the public sector–cities, counties, schools and other government entities–to become more efficient, more accessible, and more responsive to the needs of citizens. Tyler’s client base includes more than 8,000 local government offices throughout all 50 states, Canada, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom. Tyler has been named one of “America’s 200 Best Small Companies” for three consecutive years by Forbes Magazine. The company’s Plano office employs nearly 300 workers.
