HOUSTON, July 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has named Rob Parrish as Federal Security Director (FSD) for William P. Hobby Airport (HOU).

Since joining TSA in July 2002, Parrish has served in a variety of leadership roles, including Acting Federal Security Director for Dallas Love Field Airport, Lubbock's Preston Smith Airport and at several other airports throughout Texas. Parrish also was Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Office of Workforce Performance and Training at TSA headquarters, where he earned a Bronze Award for Intelligence for his role in implementation of the TSA Online Learning Center. He has also had multiple temporary program assignments at TSA headquarters, such as Director of Screener Training, Electronic Time and Attendance (eTAS) Program Manager and Diamond Self-Select (Black Diamond) Program Manager for which he earned a Team Award from both TSA and DHS.

Prior to joining TSA, Parrish was an executive with MCI Telecommunications where he led organizations in Technical Training, Technical Support, Engineering, Operations and Sales, with offices in multiple locations in the U.S., Europe and Australia. He was Executive Director of a United Way Agency in Tulsa, Okla., and was on the faculty of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock for 10 years.
Parrish holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major/minor in Marketing from the University of Arkansas.
