The awards recognize successful Oregon companies and their role in driving the regional economy through manufacturing and strategic innovation. TriQuint was a finalist in the Large Company category, revenues of $50m and above. The finalist designation acknowledges TriQuint’s success in a tough economic climate and deftly handling the ups and downs of dramatic changes in product demand, while avoiding layoffs and rebounding toward another record revenue year. Paul Thomas, Chief Economist at Intel Corporation, gave the keynote address at the awards presentation and noted the importance of continuing to invest and drive for results even in a challenging economic climate. He congratulated the award finalists and winners and noted ongoing investment in technology innovation will be key to helping the region’s economic recovery.
