MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- A weekend of fun. A lifetime of
impact. That's the theme and goal of the 2008 Trent Tucker Celebrity Golf and
Poker Tournament, set for Sept. 11-13.
Former NBA star Michael Jordan heads the list of celebrities and
entertainers committed to participate in the event's 10th year. Since 1998 the
tournament has raised more than $1 million for local charities and provides
crucial funding for the Trent Tucker Youth Program, an initiative that
provides Twin Cities at-risk middle school students with leadership training,
career development and educational opportunities. Other sports celebrities
expected to participate are former NBA stars Patrick Ewing and Scottie Pippen.
"It's gratifying to see so many celebrities and friends, such as Michael
Jordan, return to our event year after year," said Trent Tucker, former
University of Minnesota and NBA basketball star and founder of the Trent
Tucker Non-profit Organization. "They come back because they really want to
make a difference in the lives of young people, and this is one way they can
put their commitment into action."

in Columbus, Minn. on Thursday, Sept. 11. An invitation-only celebrity VIP
reception hosted by Bentley and Maserati of Minneapolis is set for Friday,
