WHAT: Andy Dancer, chief technology officer of Trend Micro Encryption
Group, will speak on a panel at the National Institute of
Standards and Technology (NIST) Computer Security Division
Identity-Based Encryption (IBE) Workshop titled, "Moving Forward
with Identity-Based Encryption." The panel will discuss areas
where IBE is the right encryption technology and real world issues
IBE can help solve.
WHEN: The NIST IBE Workshop will take place June 3-4, 2008.
Andy Dancer's panel is scheduled for Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from
11:00 am to 12:30 pm EDT.

IBE WORKSHOP: This workshop brings together academia, government and
industry to explore innovative and practical applications of pairing-based
cryptography. Pairings have been used to create identity-based encryption
schemes, but are also a useful tool for solving other cryptographic problems.
The purpose of this workshop is to encourage the development of new security
applications and communication between researchers, developers and users. In
addition to presentations, the workshop will facilitate panel discussions
among invited experts and workshop participants.
