MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM -- 11/01/09 -- The humble CD player/radio has been voted the top car accessory that motorists could not live without.

A poll of 3,000 customers by Swinton, the UK's leading high street retailer of car insurance, has revealed the motorists' favourite car accessories to be:

1. CD player/radio

2. Remote locking

3. Sat Nav

4. Air conditioning

5. Parking sensors

The survey also found that the least popular accessories were heated seats, cup holders and tinted windows.

Steve Chelton, insurer development manager for Swinton, said: "Despite the myriad of modern gadgets and accessories that are currently available on the market, it's the simple things that have captured the hearts of UK motorists."
