SANTA CLARA, CA -- 11/11/09 --
Aerohive Networks, creators of the
award-winning cooperative wireless
LAN (WLAN) architecture,
announced today that Todd Rulon-Miller has joined the company's board of
directors.
Rulon-Miller, formerly senior vice president of worldwide sales and
services at Netscape Communications, is a founding partner at Apogee
Venture Group, an early stage venture investment and consulting firm. More
information about Aerohive Networks, including biographies of the entire
board of directors, is available at www.aerohive.com.
"Aerohive is one of those special companies that brings together the key
ingredients needed for a breakthrough business opportunity -- disruptive
technology, large market opportunity, and a world-class team with intense
customer focus and great execution," said Rulon-Miller. "With an
award-winning technology and a growing customer base, Aerohive is
presenting a significant challenge to established networking vendors. I'm
excited to be working with the Aerohive team to help this pioneering
company to realize its full potential."
During his time at Netscape, Rulon-Miller built the company's sales team to
800 employees operating in more than 30 countries and grew the company from
its pre-revenue stage to a more than $600 million annual run-rate. In
August 1995, Netscape completed the then-most-successful initial public
offering on the NASDAQ.
Since then, Rulon-Miller has served on the boards of multiple technology
companies, including Active Software (acquired by WebMethods), Icarian
(acquired by Workstream), KnowHow, Oblix (acquired by Oracle), and
WebSentric AG. He also served on the marketing advisory board of Epiphany,
Inc. during the company's initial public offering on the NASDAQ. Prior to
his role at Netscape, Rulon-Miller served in executive roles at First Data
Resources, IBM, NeXT, Software Alliance, and Tandem Computers. He holds a
bachelor's degree from Princeton University.
"Todd is widely respected in the industry and has outstanding experience
building and scaling sales teams," said David Flynn, chief executive
officer, Aerohive. "His experience and insight will be great assets as we
expand our global salesforce and channel. I look forward to working
together."
