SANTA ROSA, Calif. - (Business Wire) TLCD Architecture, a team of architects, interior designers, and collaborators designing community-oriented projects throughout Northern California, announced today the grand opening of a new Veterans Affairs (VA) Clinic in Santa Rosa that essentially doubles the size and services previously offered to veterans in Sonoma County. The mission of the Veterans Health Administration is to serve the needs of America’s veterans by providing primary care, specialized care and related medical and support services. The Santa Rosa VA Outpatient Clinic, designed by TLCD Architecture, plays a vital role in providing expanded health care for the veterans of Sonoma County and the surrounding area.
The 21,000 sf clinic includes services continued from the previous facility such as primary care, mental health, audiology, pharmacy, laboratory and dermatology. New services will include optometry, radiology, podiatry, physical therapy and dental care. For TLCD Architecture Principal Jason Brabo, “It was challenging and exciting to mesh some very diverse programs and bring them together in a contemporary, well organized facility for quality care – while at the same time creating a warm, inviting place for patients and staff.”
TLCD Architecture incorporated green building measures into the design, including the use of sustainably produced materials and natural day lighting of interior space.
More than 5,000 veterans are treated each year at the Santa Rosa Clinic, which was previously located at 3841 Brickway Blvd., and that number is expected to increase dramatically with the larger facility and expanded services.
