MUMBAI, India, April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- TinselVision.com announced today key changes to its online content distribution arrangements with Star India and other licensors which extend viewing rights to internet users in India while expanding audience engagement globally. The revised licensing terms address customer access and convenience in two major steps. TinselVision will now deliver television programming entirely free to its rapidly growing audience in a deal which also marks its first foray within the Indian domestic market.
TinselVision.com has tied up with Star India, Zee Telefilms, B4U Networks, Zoom TV and other leading entertainment providers to offer their premier content over its online distribution platform. The Dubai-backed, US-India venture will announce several new and leading television and film brands joining its family of licensors in the coming days, firmly establishing its premium content leadership position among online Bollywood and Indian entertainment destinations.
TinselVision launched its beta services in November, 2007, and recently announced a site re-design and full services re-launch of tinselvision.com in Q2, 2008, which is due for release shortly after the premiere of its community portal, ChannelMine(TM), and its beta home service for television viewers, Veodi(TM).
"We are extremely excited to extend premium offerings from our licensors to our growing viewership at no cost and within the Indian sub-continent," says Chase Weir, Chairman & CEO at Tinsel. "These positive revisions to deal terms coincide with our new ad networks and salesforces coming online in the US, UK and India, allowing us to implement our ad-supported monetization strategy for our trusted partners."
