NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- TiaLinx, Inc., a developer of mm-wave integrated radio and antenna arrays, has been awarded a phase II contract from the Department of Army for development of a miniaturized antenna array at V-band. The antenna system will be incorporated into the Company's flagship Eagle60 family of products, continuing to improve the performance of these ultra-wideband (UWB) radio frequency (RF) imaging systems.

"Army's award enables design, implementation, and integration of the miniaturized antenna array to the Eagle60 ultra-wideband radio frequency system, while simultaneously enhancing associated signal processing algorithms that provide RF imaging of fine dimension obscured objects," commented Dr. Fred Mohamadi, Founder and CEO of TiaLinx. "TiaLinx's miniaturized mm-wave RF distributed sensor technology has enabled the real-time imaging of live object movements behind walls or traffic in a tunnel."

The advanced mm-wave radar will be deployed to address detection of visually obstructed unexploded ordnances and for surveillance of desired objects in land, sea surface and air operations. The benefit of such a system is agnostic operations under deteriorated environmental conditions including fog, rain and smog. In addition to a multitude of applications in various areas of conflict, the system is suitable for regions that suffer from an epidemic of landmines and unexploded ordnances. The mm-wave radar and its associated RF imaging capability can be used to address the eradication of mines and save innocent lives.
