EMMETSBURG, Iowa, June 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Three Dog Night, the famed band
from the 1960s and 1970s, was scheduled to perform here at the Wild Rose
Casino & Resort as well as in Cedar Rapids this week. The band cancelled as a
result of the flooding in Eastern Iowa, leaving Wild Rose without much notice
or a headliner.
Enter Chuck Negron, formerly of Three Dog Night, who incidentally was the
lead singer on the hit, "The Show Must Go On" saved the day. Negron will
perform an outdoor concert Friday night, June 20, at 8 p.m. Tickets are still
available. The gates open at 6 p.m. As part of the event, the Palo Alto County
Cattlemen's Association is selling steak sandwiches and beef burgers.
"We feel very fortunate to have such a great artist step up at the last
minute to make this a great event and show," said Amy Williams, general
manager of Wild Rose Emmetsburg.
