PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The First Israel Fund, Inc. (the "Fund") (NYSE AMEX: ISL), a closed-end equity fund, announced today its performance data and portfolio composition as of September 30, 2009.
