Close to 60 minutes of mostly never before viewed footage, recorded by the FARC guerrillas, have been made available exclusively on ReporteVirtual.com, the new digital journalism platform for the Americas.

Of the 60 minutes of video, approximately 18 were released by the Associated Press (AP) in July of this year, while the rest of the footage has remained undisclosed to the public.

Here, “Jojoy” reads a letter analyzing the consequences of the deaths of Raúl Reyes and Iván Marquez for the guerrilla movement, noting the impact of the disclosure of the intimate ties with neighboring countries, and offering a detailed analysis of the blows the guerrilla group has suffered at the hands of the Colombian army during the past five years under President Uribe’s administration.
ReporteVirtual also publishes, for the first time in its entirety, the last document written by FARC founder, Manuel Marulanda Veléz, alias “Tirofijo” or “Sure Shot” prior to his death. This document has circulated between international intelligence organizations under the title, “Marulanda’s Last Will”.
Additionally, on the website, dozens of original emails seized from a computer operated by Raúl Reyes, the FARC’s international commissioner, who was killed by the Colombian Army on Ecuadoran soil, are made available for the first time.
Among the recovered emails are lists of the FARC organization’s operations and international properties, as well as compromising conversations regarding the traffic of arms, the movements of prisoners and kidnapping victims, relations with neighboring nations, and transactions with well known drug lords.
