INDIANA, Pa., July 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Ashton Oilfield Services LLC CEO Scott Riggs announced today that Ashton Oilfield Services LLC has acquired a new operations facility in Indiana, Pennsylvania in preparation to drill in the Marcellus Shale-Appalachian Basin.
Located at 497 Hood Street, the five acre site houses a 7,000-square-foot building for offices and housing for rigs and other operational equipment. Ashton Oilfield Services is creating many new jobs in the area. The region is home to other Texas-based oil and gas companies such as XTO Energy, Chief and Range Resources among others.
Riggs also appointed David D. Lawrence to lead the expansion of Ashton Oilfield Services LLC as Chief Operating Officer of the company.
Specifically, Lawrence will be responsible for all business aspects of Ashton Oilfield Services LLC such as forecasting and increasing the company's annual revenue, developing a safety program, designing an inventory system and performance review process for employees.
Over the past several decades, Lawrence has established a proven track record of successful results in professional roles similar to his new position with Ashton Oilfield Services LLC.
While serving as Vice President of Business Development for a drilling company out of Oklahoma City, Lawrence helped create the audit process to take the company public and developed the company's safety program.
For another oil and gas company, he doubled the company's revenues from $5 million to $10 million and increased the company's net profit margin from 3% to 15%. As Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Business Development for four oil and gas companies, Lawrence successfully directed the organizations' overall financial policies and business development.
And, in partnership with CEO Scott Riggs' vision that it is vitally important for Ashton Oilfield Services to give back to many charitable and community causes, Lawrence organized fund-raising campaigns for the United Way in various cities for seven years. Lawrence graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
