DAYTON, Ohio - (Business Wire) Teradata Corporation (NYSE:TDC), the enterprise data warehouse company, has added to its list of awards with new recognition for technical excellence and customer satisfaction in business intelligence as well as ongoing success in helping companies transform supply chain operations.

Teradata is ranked in the top 10 list of business intelligence providers in the Annual Consumer Goods Technology Readers Choice. The ranking is based on customer experience as reported by consumer goods executives to an independent third party. An IDC study called Taming Information Chaos, issued in November, puts business decision-making throughout the world at a critical crossroads, with business intelligence technology now an important component in differentiating between leading and average companies.

Teradata was also listed in Food Logistics magazine's FL100, an annual listing of the Top 100 technology suppliers to the food industry. The FL100 lists technology and solution providers that transform the food supply chain, including food, beverage and consumer packaged goods manufacturers, distributors, grocery wholesalers and third-party logistics providers.

Keith Henry, Teradata vice president for manufacturing, Global Industry Solutions said, In the past, supply chains were driven by productivity-centered factory schedules. By letting demand be the driver, companies are finding that they can improve efficiencies against rising costs and maintain customer expectations. The foundation for this is enterprise data warehousing and operational business intelligence.

Enterprise data warehouses produced by Teradata analyze business operations to drive better, faster decisions by providing a complete view of the business and the agility to create a sustainable competitive advantage. The latest data warehouse release, Teradata 12.0, includes advanced features such as high-performance parallel database technology, a cost-based optimizer, a sophisticated mixed workload management tool, a full suite of data access and management tools and zero-latency, in-database data mining software.

Teradata solutions are consistently recognized by business and technology organizations and media for innovation, excellence and business value. For more information on Teradata awards, please visit: http://www.teradata.com/about-teradata/teradata-awards.html
