Coulson brings over 20 years of technology partnership and management experience in the high-tech sector to SugarCRM. In this role, Coulson will be responsible for the management and expansion of SugarCRM’s partnership with leading technology and service providers worldwide. “Chuck has a tremendous track record working with leading enterprise software and SaaS businesses,” said Larry Augustin, CEO of SugarCRM. “This experience, combined with his deep knowledge of how to partner with and enable strategic partners, will allow SugarCRM to continue to build valuable relationships with leading solution providers around the globe.”
Prior to joining SugarCRM, Coulson was vice president of business development for Parature, Inc., a privately held provider of on-demand customer service software, where he was responsible for the company’s channels, alliances and strategic partnership programs on a global basis. Previously, Coulson was senior director, business development and field operations at SAP, a publicly traded subsidiary of SAP AG, the world’s largest business software company.
Before joining SAP, Coulson served as senior director, solutions alliances for Salesforce.com, a publicly traded company providing on-demand customer relationship management services. During his tenure at Salesforce.com, he developed its ISV and Strategic Alliance Program, and was responsible for identifying, enabling and managing the partner community of ISV’s to further develop strategic partner relations to produce new sources of revenue. Additionally, he launched the Supportforce Partner Program and built the partner ecosystem for the initial launch of AppExchange.
Coulson began his career with Oracle Corporation, a publicly traded enterprise software company, where he held a variety of technical account management, alliance management and business development roles during his 15-year tenure.
