LOS ANGELES, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- As the season six contestants on "The
Biggest Loser" work to lose weight on the scale, host Alison Sweeney surprised
them last night with the announcement that she is pregnant with her second
child, which is due to arrive in January.
"My husband Dave and I are so excited!," said Sweeney. "It just seemed
fitting to share the news first with the 'Biggest Loser' contestants since
this season is all about family."
Sweeney made her debut as host for season four of "The Biggest Loser," on
September 4, 2007 and is currently in production on season six, which is
scheduled to air Fall 2008. She continues to juggle her hosting role with her
award-winning portrayal of Sami Brady on NBC's hit daytime drama "Days of our
Lives." Sweeney was most recently seen on the red carpet of the Daytime Emmy
Awards last Friday.
Sweeney and her husband Dave Sanov currently reside in Los Angeles with
their 3-year-old son Ben.
