’s announced today that it has commenced Factual Stock Report coverage on DWS Global Commodities Stock Fund Inc.
DWS Global Commodities Stock Fund Inc. (NYSE:GCS) invests primarily in equity and commodities-linked securities. The fund's investment objective is capital appreciation with total return as a secondary objective. Under normal market conditions the fund will invest substantially all but not less than 80% of its total assets in equity and commodities-linked securities of companies in commodities-related industries or other issuers where the value of the investment is linked to changes in commodity prices or a commodities-related index such as commodities-linked structured notes.
Under an investment management agreement with Deutsche Investment Management Americas Inc. (DIMA or the manager), an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Bank AG, the manager directs the investments of the fund in accordance with its investment objectives, policies and restrictions. The management fee payable under the management agreement is equal to an annual rate of 0.90% of the fund's average daily managed assets (i.e., the net asset value of fund common shares plus the liquidation preference of any fund preferred shares and the principal amount of any borrowings used for leverage), computed and accrued daily and payable monthly.
July 23, 2008, the fund announced that its board of directors authorized an open-market share repurchase program. The fund may purchase an aggregate of up to 20% of its outstanding shares of common stock in open-market transactions over a twelve month period.
