Southern Rock artists “MJD Band” to perform at Parker County Peach Festival July 11th

(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 03, 2009 )  Dallas, TX – Weatherford hosts the 2009 Annual Peach Festival on Saturday, July 11th, and this year, MJD Band is scheduled to perform as one of the featured musical artists.  Hailing from DFW, the Southern Rock artists MJD Band (www.myspace.com/mjdband) will be playing some of their most recently recorded original tracks, as well as many fan favorites and covers.  MJD Band has been booked to perform not once but twice – first at high noon during the peak of this peachy festival, and again at 3:30 PM. Texas music fans and peach connoisseurs are expected to stream into the Peach Festival to see MJD Band and other excellent musicians perform, and of course, to gorge themselves on perfect peachy pleasures from all over North Texas.

This year's Peach festival presents more than 200 prominent peach peddlers, promoting a plethora of peachy products to please the palate.  Persons prepared to promptly attend the Peach Festival, located in Weatherford’s historic downtown, should arrive early as the festival is only open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Those attending will find a children’s area, a food court, non-stop entertainment, and of course sweet, juicy Parker County Peaches. Purveyors of peachy treats will be providing plenty of products to beat the heat, including peach ice cream, peach juleps, peach smoothies, peach cobbler, peach jams, and of course, just plain ol' peaches, quenching the peachy desires of even the most purposeful peach eaters.  Admission is only $5 for adults and FREE for children 12 and under. There will be free peachy parking from the Ninth Grade Center (1007 S. Main St.) Exit 408, Weatherford College (225 College Park Dr) Exit 409, and the First Monday Grounds (100 Block Santa Fe) Exit 409. Free Shuttle services are also available from these locations.  Free parking for the disabled (with shuttle service) will be provided from the Weatherford Ninth Grade Center.
