FT. MYERS, Fla. - (Business Wire) SoftServe, Inc., a provider of software consulting, development, testing and lifecycle services to IT decision-makers, today announced its Abiliton “Process” module, a fully optimized approach to software development that incorporates a superior framework of services and solutions to deliver maximum value with each and every project. Abiliton Process currently optimizes SCRUM methodology for agile development, levering distributed teams across multiple time zones to deliver better quality software for SoftServe’s independent software vendor (ISV) customers – all in a fraction of the time of competing approaches. The Abiliton Process joins the already announced “People” module, continuing SoftServe’s push to change the way outsourced development projects are performed. Soon to be announced will be the final components of the complete Abiliton framework – “Tools” and “Communication” – which crystallize SoftServe’s methodology for producing the best results with every project delivered. SoftServe’s Abiliton changes the nature of development projects that use the SCRUM framework for offshore agile development. Remote teams are strategically employed across multiple time zones, resulting in round-the-clock software development that includes quality testing and delivery within a 24-hour period. Future enhancements of the Abiliton Process will incorporate development approaches such as Waterfall and Rational Unified Process (RUP) for an optimized combination of solutions and services that ensure customers’ needs are met and exceeded every time. “Today, 85 percent of organizations wrestle with flat or declining staff and many also have trouble finding IT talent for some functions, such as application development,” said Katherine Trost, research analyst, Nemertes Research. “In response, 60 percent are increasing their use of outsourcing. They’re sharply focused on selecting partners that are specialists in the services they offer and those that build on industry standard approaches to fit the needs of the client.” Among the other unique features inherent to the Abiliton Process are: - Abiliton quantifies and measures how projects are performed, providing a framework for virtually ensuring success before development begins.
- SoftServe uses the innovative Abiliton SmartStart™ business process analysis model to launch each project and determine the best practices and roles required to deliver the most value to the client.
- The Abiliton Process assigns both a SmartStart engagement analyst and the Abiliton Standards organization to projects based on needs determined during the launch phase, to ensure that processes are working as effectively and efficiently as possible.
- The best practices used in process modeling are matched to competence models used in the Abiliton People module, ensuring that the right people are using the right processes in the right projects, to deliver the best results to the customer as efficiently as possible.
- The Process module is tailored for development in distributed teams, and gives these teams the flexibility to develop for both vertical and horizontal markets using the most innovative technologies available, such as cloud computing, SaaS, SOA and many more.
- Abiliton builds on SoftServe’s ISO and CMMI certifications to guarantee that all projects are managed within the parameters of the industry’s leading development certifications.
“No software development project can be successful without the right process implemented to deliver it, and Abiliton was designed to offer a consistent, flexible framework for providing this value to our clients,” said Taras Kytsmey, president, SoftServe. “The combination of services and solutions employed via the Process module guarantee that our clients are receiving the best quality software in the fastest time possible. With Abiliton, our teams have a surefire framework for ensuring project success, and our clients benefit from bringing their products to market with the speed and quality that their businesses require.” About SoftServe: SoftServe (www.softserveinc.com) provides commercial software product design, development, testing and lifecycle services to Independent Software Vendors and builds foundational strategic technologies for enterprise clients.
