SAN MATEO, CA -- 07/08/08 --
SnapLogic, Inc., the Really Simple
Integration company, today announced the immediate availability of a new
version of the SnapLogic
open source
data integration framework optimized to run on the Amazon Elastic
Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). SnapLogic enables enterprises to integrate
data on both sides of the enterprise firewall and to create
enterprise mashups and
rich Internet applications (
RIAs). SnapLogic for Amazon EC2
provides Amazon Web Services (AWS) users with a convenient SnapLogic
deployment option that scales easily and eliminates the costs of acquiring
and maintaining expensive server hardware. SnapLogic for Amazon EC2 also
makes it easier than ever to integrate SaaS application data, such as
SalesForce.com. SnapLogic's Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is available at no
charge at
www.snaplogic.com/aws/ami. More information about the
SnapLogic for Amazon EC2 is available at
www.snaplogic.com/aws.
"Amazon Web Services provide highly reliable and elastic computing and
storage resources, creating a compelling, cost-effective deployment
alternative for data integration infrastructures that have been architected
with the Web in mind," said Steve Rabuchin, director, developer relations
and business development for Amazon Web Services. "SnapLogic for EC2 users
will be supported by the same technology infrastructure that Amazon.com
uses."
A recent Forrester survey indicated that data integration difficulties are
the main inhibitors of enterprise adoption of SaaS. SnapLogic leverages
Web technologies to enable enterprises to easily integrate data in the
cloud with data behind the firewall.
"Architecturally, SnapLogic is simply better suited to integrate SaaS data
than competing data integration offerings. For enterprises seeking to
integrate data and applications on both sides of the enterprise firewall,
SnapLogic is the obvious choice," said Chris Marino, chief executive
officer, SnapLogic. "For AWS users that want their integration
infrastructure in the cloud, SnapLogic for EC2 provides them with all the
benefits they expect from SaaS, including rapid deployment, low cost, and
instant scalability."
Really Simple Integration
SnapLogic enables "Really Simple Integration," a new approach to data
integration that leverages RESTful Web technology to provide agile data
integration solutions for business IT groups. Really Simple Integration
enables enterprises to quickly and easily make data from databases, SaaS
applications, SOA Web services, and other common data sources readily
available for use by business analysts and other business users. In the
Really Simple Integration paradigm, knowledge workers use familiar tools,
including Web browsers, Google, and Excel, to discover, consume, transform,
and publish enterprise data, creating a virtuous cycle of self-service data
access and distribution.
