Smashing Pumpkins to Debut on the HDNet Concert Series

WHAT: The HDNet Concert Series will extend Halloween tradition one more day with the premiere of "Smashing Pumpkins--The Fillmore Residency," Sunday, November 1, at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The band is known as one of the longest-lasting and most successful alternative bands of the early '90s. In June 2007, the partially re-united Smashing Pumpkins eschewed a traditional US tour and opted for an experimental art installation in the form of two residencies - one in Asheville, NC and the other San Francisco, CA. The Fillmore Residency is a testament to the enduring talents of original members Billy Corgan, and Jimmy Chamberlin.

The concert features the best-of-the-best, plus seven new tracks, some not available anywhere else, and some of the band's older numbers, from "Blue Skies Bring Tears," "Super Christ," "Starla," "No Surrender," "The Rose March," and "Zeitgeist."
