Executives from Small World Labs, Telligent, Mzinga and Jive Software to square off BOSTON, June 6
BOSTON, June 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterprise social network providers Small
World Labs and Telligent are teaming up to co-sponsor a
white-label social software shoot-out between thought leaders from both
companies, as well as those from competitors Mzinga and Jive Software. The
event will occur on Wednesday, June 11 during the Enterprise 2.0 Conference,
which takes place June 9-12 at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel.
Enterprise 2.0 focuses on exploring the "why" and "how" of technological
advancement in enterprise solutions. Organizations are increasingly turning
to social networking tools to help grow revenue and streamline business
operations. A recent Forrester Research study showed enterprise 2.0 tools
will account for $4.6 billion by 2013.
With so many providers in the social networking field, many enterprise
leaders have found themselves unable to differentiate between vendors.
"Today's enterprise leaders are increasingly savvy to the fact that
incorporating social networking tools into their business model is now a
necessity to stay competitive," said Michael Wilson, CEO of Small World Labs.
"The point behind this social networking shoot-out is to educate these leaders
on the differentiators between the leading vendors, to help them recognize
which vendor's approach best fits their needs and to create a platform for an
open exchange of dialogue in a fun, relaxed environment."
The panelists will each have 90 seconds to present their company's
approach to social networking in the enterprise, followed by a dialogue led by
the moderator. The floor will then open to audience members who can ask these
industry leaders about any and all things social networking.
"We're looking forward to the Enterprise 2.0 Shoot-Out," said Rob Howard,
CEO of Telligent. "It's a great opportunity for attendees to learn firsthand
about the deeply integrated value of Community Server and the team standing
behind our enterprise-proven platform."
"Web 2.0 tools have great promise for revolutionizing the way enterprises
do business, if we know why, how and when to use them," said Steve Wylie,
Enterprise 2.0 General Manager. "We're excited about the opportunity Small
World Labs and Telligent have created for vendors to show enterprise
professionals exactly how they can make 2.0 work for them."
Panel participants include Michael Wilson, CEO of Small World Labs; Rob
Howard, CEO of Telligent; Aaron Strout, Vice President of New Media of Mzinga;
and Sam Lawrence, CMO of Jive Software. The shoot-out will start at 6:30 pm
in the Burroughs Room within the conference.
