RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- 05/16/08 -- Skyline Gold Corporation ("Skyline") (TSX VENTURE: SK) engaged in the business of exploring for precious and base metals from its properties in northwestern British Columbia's 'Golden Triangle' announces that it has filed an application prepared by Forsite Engineering and Geoscience for a Special Use Permit ("SUP") to construct a Bronson Creek Access Road.

This access road will commence at the west end of NovaGreenPower's Forrest Kerr hydro-electric project access road, generally follow the south side of the Iskut River and connect to Skyline's Bronson Slope project at Bronson Creek. This is a distance of approximately 30 kilometres. The road will require the construction of 9 bridges and is expected to involve straight forward construction with few issues on the first 24 kilometres; the last six kilometres will be constructed over old volcano bedrock, silt sand and gravel. This road will provide year round access.

The SUP is subject to certain conditions before commencement of construction. These will include final road design and bridge plans, Terrain Stability Assessment in consultation with Tahltan First Nations, timber cruise of the proposed right-of-way, Road Use Agreements with connecting access roads and agreements or permission from mineral claim holders whose claims are bisected by the Bronson Creek Access Road.

Skyline looks forward to a prompt review of the SUP in order to allow field work to be completed this season.

ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Cliff Grandison, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
