From the perspective of serving as Principal Analyst of Forrester Research, James Staten will discuss the burgeoning interest in, and use of, cloud computing services and platforms during the Virtualization Keynote. In the presentation, “Is Your Next Data Center In the Cloud?” Staten will provide a better understanding of what’s real (and not) in cloud computing and how organizations can best take advantage of it.
Recognized internationally for his innovative work in software architecture, software engineering, and collaborative development environments, IBM Fellow Grady Booch will present “Software Abundance in the Face of Economic Scarcity,” examining the potential of software abundance and the best practices that lead there. During the Service Orientation keynote, Booch will share insights on software-intensive systems as inescapable and necessary elements in helping to operate, innovate and even thrive in the face of lean economic times.
