SAN ANTONIO - (Business Wire) SecureLogix Corporation, leaders in Unified Communications (UC) security and intelligence, announced the availability of version 6.0 of its award-winning ETM® System at VoiceCon San Francisco 2009 today. ETM System v6.0 features new IP Telephony security, intelligence, and network management capabilities for enterprise voice/UC networks running SIP trunking services. VoiceCon San Francisco 2009 is being held at the Moscone North Convention Center in San Francisco, California from November 2-5. Live demonstrations of ETM System v6.0 are available on November 3–4 in the VoiceCon exhibit hall at SecureLogix booth #602.
Version 6.0 enhances the ETM System’s powerful TDM security capabilities with additional VoIP/UC security features, providing unified policy enforcement and enterprise-wide protection against TDM- and SIP-based toll fraud, unauthorized network access, social engineering attacks and identity theft schemes, service abuse and financial losses, harassing or unwanted callers, and sensitive data leakage and theft.
In addition, version 6.0 delivers unified voice network intelligence across any mix of TDM or VoIP switch types and multi-vendor UC devices and endpoints. These centralized visibility and management capabilities can help dramatically lower costs and simplify management of complex UC environments though network optimization and planning, traffic reporting and analytics, service performance monitoring and troubleshooting, call recording, and business operations intelligence.
“SecureLogix originally unveiled their voice firewall and management solution at VoiceCon in 2001,” said Fred Knight, VoiceCon General Manager. “They have partnered with us over the years to help educate attendees on important security issues facing enterprise voice and UC networks. We look forward to the release of 6.0 from SecureLogix this year at VoiceCon.”
“As traditional enterprise voice networks evolve into SIP-based services and UC environments, they are becoming increasingly difficult to secure and efficiently manage,” said David Heard, SecureLogix VP of marketing. “Today’s enterprise communications networks often contain a complex mix of multi-vendor switch types and a blend of traditional TDM and new SIP services. There is little interoperability across this infrastructure, so unified security policy enforcement and intelligence are difficult to achieve. SecureLogix can help customers meet their UC security and management needs to lower expenses, strengthen compliance, and enhance their business operations through all stages of communications convergence.”
