Former Congressman Tom Campbell Announces Opposition to Prop. 8 SACRAMENTO, Calif., Oct. 24
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, No on Prop. 8 announced
that former U.S. Congressman Tom Campbell became the second Republican Party
official to oppose Prop. 8. Earlier in the day, LA County Sheriff Lee Baca
also announced his opposition to the constitutional amendment that would
eliminate marriage for same-sex couples in the State of California.
Campbell's position was articulated in an editorial posted today on the
Republican website http://www.Reason.com. Campbell urged fellow Republicans

Director, Bureau of Competition, Administration of President Ronald Reagan.
Additionally, Campbell served as a Law Clerk at the U.S. Supreme Court from
1977-1978. Mr. Campbell presently serves as Dean of the School of the Haas
