SEATTLE - (Business Wire) Seattle Seahawks cornerback Marcus Trufant and his Trufant Family Foundation have announced that they will partner with CHOICES Education Group for a second year to help keep teens in school. The two non-profit organizations will collaborate once again on an NFL season-long campaign to raise public awareness and funding to support CHOICES and the Trufant Family Foundation.

The campaign, called Trus Tackles for Teens Challenge, invites businesses and fans to make pledges for every tackle Trufant makes this season, including post-season play. Local business Xtreme Consulting Group has become the first business sponsor of the campaign.

Trufant has recorded a Public Service Announcement in support of the cause.

"What got my attention about the school dropout situation is the huge number of kids that drop out of school each day," says Trufant. Every school day 7,000 students become dropouts."

CHOICES is an interactive decision-making workshop that empowers teens to achieve academic success in pursuit of their career and life aspirations. In two hour-long sessions, business and community volunteers take students through real-world exercises on academic self-discipline, time and money management and goal setting.

"We are delighted to have Marcus on board for a second year, along with our first business sponsor of the season Xtreme Consulting Group, said Leo Muller, Executive Director of the national not-for-profit CHOICES Education Group. "Their commitment to dropout prevention is inspiring."

Businesses and fans are invited to make per-tackle pledges or give a one-time donation by visiting www.TacklesForTeens.org or calling 1-888-CHOICES. Thank-you gifts, autographed by Marcus Trufant, are offered at various pledge levels while supplies last.
