Scout Investment Advisors Promotes Bill Greiner to President and Chief Investment Officer

In this role, Greiner will provide overall strategic direction for investment management and oversee portfolio leadership and product development. He will report to Peter deSilva, president and chief operating officer of UMB Financial Corporation. This promotion directly supports the evolution of UMB’s organizational model as a diversified financial services company.

Greiner has spent his entire career in the investment field, with more than 30 years of investment management experience, including 10 with SIA. Greiner produces a bi-weekly economic commentary regarding developments in the U.S. Domestic Market. Greiner was named BusinessWeek's 2005 Stock Market Strategist of the Year and was a runner-up again in 2007. He regularly appears as a guest on Bloomberg Television, FOX Business, News Radio 980 AM KMBZ and CNBC. Greiner is often quoted in leading financial publications, such as The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, Investor’s Business Daily and Barron’s, regarding his views on the U.S. economy.
