EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - (Business Wire) Scottrade, a leading branch-supported online investment firm, announces the opening of a new branch office in El Segundo, Calif. The branch, located at 831 N. Douglas Street at the Edge at Campus El Segundo, opens on Monday, May 12.

The branch will be managed by Richard Chun, who joins Scottrade with 24 years of financial services experience. Chun said the new branch will be more convenient for Scottrade customers who are currently served through other local offices in Santa Monica and Torrance.

South Bay is an area that has continued to develop and expand throughout the past several years, Chun said. The El Segundo branch office will help us keep up with that growth and provide customers with another convenient location where they can receive personal customer service.

Scottrade is an investment services firm that provides the tools and research for customers to make their own investment decisions. Scottrade does not provide investment advice, but stock brokers are available at branch offices to answer account-related questions, provide customer service and give tutorials on Scottrades online trading services.

We feel it is important to have branch offices where our customers work and live, said Rodger Riney, Scottrade founder, president and CEO. While most of our customers trade online, our local offices allow us to provide a better customer experience for online investors.

Since opening its first California branch office in 1990, Scottrade has expanded into 51 other locations throughout the state. Other local offices include locations in Torrance, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Encino and Glendale.

Scottrades El Segundo branch office will be open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be reached at (310) 640-1980. For more, visit www.scottrade.com.
