America, has appointed Lindy Benton as Chief Operating Officer.
Ms. Benton has spent the past 15 years in healthcare information
technology (HIT) at Cerner Corporation in a variety of increasingly
responsible roles in sales, marketing, operations, client development, and,
most recently as the Vice President, General Manager of Cerner's National New
Business Development group.
Ms. Benton's proven track record in the industry includes leading large
sales and operations functions and helping to transform Cerner into a top-tier
performer. She has been active in HIT industry groups and is past president of
Central Florida HIMSS. Before joining Cerner, Ms. Benton worked for 11 years
with Digital Equipment Corporation in similar capacities. She holds a B.A. and
an M.A. from Florida State University.
