WARRENDALE, Pa., Nov. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Attendees of the SAE 2009 AeroTech Congress and Exhibition, held recently in Seattle, heard real-world solutions for the challenges facing the global aerospace industry today.
"We tried to create an event that not only discussed the issues facing today's aerospace professionals, but also provided solid solutions for meeting those challenges," Patti Kreh, manager of global conferences for SAE International, said. "I believe we accomplished that goal with this year's AeroTech Congress."
Boeing served as Executive Platinum Sponsor for the SAE AeroTech Congress. Boeing executives also served as key planning committee chairs for the event.
Attendees enjoyed a number of executive-level panel discussions during the conference, along with numerous technical and plenary sessions. A highlight was the William Littlewood Memorial Lecture, which focused on Sustainable Green Aviation: Challenges and Opportunities.
The event also featured a Career Center and Career Fair in which attendees were offered tips on how to find the right job and effectively build careers. Also, a resume critique clinic and an interviewing workshop were offered.
In addition, more than 130 companies participated in the exhibition, showing some of the latest technology available to the aerospace industry.
The SAE 2011 AeroTech Congress and Exhibition will be held in Toulouse, France. Airbus will serve as host company for the event.
