She also joins the company’s board of directors effective immediately. Austin, who is renowned for leading the operational and financial turnaround of DIRECTV, was the unanimous selection by the company’s board of directors. Austin arrives at Move Networks as the company aims to set the standard for television delivered over the Internet. Building on its strength as the premier provider of high-quality live and video-on-demand (VOD) Internet television services, Move Networks now has the capacity to offer an end-to-end solution capable of delivering the highest quality IPTV service available.

Prior to joining Hughes, Ms. Austin was a partner of Deloitte & Touche. She currently serves on the board of directors of Ericsson, Target Corporation, Abbott Laboratories and Teledyne Technologies and is on the board of trustees for the California Science Center.
