To celebrate this success, Finger Lakes Wine Country Tourism Marketing Association is hosting Riesling Month in May, 2010. Some of the month’s highlights include: Dr. Frank’s Vinifera Wine Cellars, one of the leading Finger Lakes Riesling producers, will host a special vertical tasting event on Sunday, May 23, 2010 with wines from their extensive Riesling library. Fox Run Vineyards on Saturday, May 15, 2010 will host a special seven vintage vertical Riesling tasting with winemaker, Peter Bell. The inaugural Glass Fest 2010 in Corning, NY May 27-30, 2010 will incorporate a special Riesling tasting into its glass-themed weekend.
The Seneca Lake Wine Trail will again offer its hugely popular, Riesling to Visit Passport, featuring free flights of wine at participating wine trail wineries, available for $12. Travel along the Riesling Road, a special itinerary including the Riesling producing wineries, local restaurants, and featured attractions. Participating accommodations will incorporate the Riesling experience into overnight packages.
