Harrah's Launches Microsoft Surface(TM) based Promotion with AMP at Toby Keith's I Love this Bar & Grill LAS VEGAS, Sept. 29
LAS VEGAS, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Harrah's Las Vegas unveils its proprietary application for Microsoft Surface developed by Harrah's Entertainment for a co-promotion with AMP Energy called Race Day Riches. From September 29th - October 6th at Toby Keith's I Love this Bar & Grill, selected guests can race to their chance to win cool AMP Energy and Dale Jr.(TM) prizes.

This exciting new promotion allows customers to step into the driver's seat to simultaneously compete against each other in a fast-paced race developed for Microsoft Surface. Harrah's designed the application to leverage several key unique Surface attributes, including multi-player interaction and object recognition, where guests place their key on top of Surface to automatically 'start' their engines and begin the race. At the end of the race, the prize is revealed when the winner "scratches off" the scratch ticket directly on Surface.
"Our guests love car racing and our application allows them to experience first hand the thrill of a race right here at Harrah's," said Don Marrandino, general manager of Harrah's Las Vegas.
For a chance to play the race game, Total Rewards(R) members can swipe their card daily at the promotions desk between 2 - 4 p.m. from September 29th and October 6th.
"AMP Energy is thrilled to be part of this innovative promotion," said Sheila Golden of AMP Energy. "Harrah's Entertainment through the resorts they own are on the cutting edge of compelling promotions."
"This promotion application represents another innovative example of how we are leveraging new platforms like Microsoft Surface to deliver unique and exciting experiences for our guests," said Tim Stanley, Harrah's CIO and senior vice president of innovation, gaming and technology, Harrah's Entertainment. "We first launched Surface at the Rio iBar in June, and we are continuing to create new applications and widgets as we continue to advance our interactive customer relationship management agenda."
Microsoft Surface, the first commercially available tabletop computer from Microsoft, is a 30-inch table-like display that allows individuals or multiple people to interact with digital content in a way that feels familiar by using touch, gestures or objects from the real world. Without a mouse or keyboard, the 360-degree user interface and massive multi-touch capabilities of Microsoft Surface provide Harrah's guests with an unprecedented social experience that infuses the best of technology with the best of Vegas excitement.
