Davenport, Iowa (Vocus) November 8, 2009 -- The Festival of Trees is an annual fundraiser for Quad City Arts, and a local not-for-profit arts agency. As one of the largest attractions in the Quad
Cities, more than 100,000 people experience the festival annually, providing a 2.5 million dollar economic impact for the Quad City area. The festival is made possible with the help of more than 3,500 volunteers, over 650 designers, nearly 3,500 center stage entertainers and over 150 sponsors. Residents of six counties in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois benefit from quality arts programming, made
possible by this fundraiser.
Festival dates for 2009 are November 19 through November 29, with the holiday parade taking place through downtown Davenport, IA on Saturday morning, November 21. To celebrate the 24th year, this year's theme is Sparkle! 2009 - the Arts Sparkle your Life!
