Family and fri in the Quad City and Davenport, Iowa area enjoy the fall and winter Festival of Trees. This event is truly extravagant light and holiday attraction. This holiday event brings great sponsorships and donations by surrounding businesses and volunteers.

Davenport, Iowa (Vocus) November 8, 2009 -- The Festival of Trees is an annual fundraiser for Quad City Arts, and a local not-for-profit arts agency. As one of the largest attractions in the Quad Cities, more than 100,000 people experience the festival annually, providing a 2.5 million dollar economic impact for the Quad City area. The festival is made possible with the help of more than 3,500 volunteers, over 650 designers, nearly 3,500 center stage entertainers and over 150 sponsors. Residents of six counties in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois benefit from quality arts programming, made possible by this fundraiser.

Festival dates for 2009 are November 19 through November 29, with the holiday parade taking place through downtown Davenport, IA on Saturday morning, November 21. To celebrate the 24th year, this year's theme is Sparkle! 2009 - the Arts Sparkle your Life!

The Quad City Clarion Hotel and Conference Center has been involved with Quad City Arts through the gifts-in-kind program and this year will participate in the festival by designing a tree for the Designer Tree category entitled, "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree".
